She was predeceased by: her parents, Jack Hirsch and Lorraine Hirsch (Fransen). She is survived by: her husband Greg LaRue of Dubuque; her sons, Chad and Jason LaRue; her grandchildren, Ava LaRue and Beckhem LaRue; her siblings, Linda Bowman (Craig), John Hirsch (Joyce), Peggy Redmond (Jack), Steve Hirsch (Janet) and Dave Hirsch (Gina); and her godson Zack Hirsch. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, a Tina LaRue Memorial has been established.
