Ploessl of Dubuque, Iowa, born in Dickeyville, Wisconsin, who passed away on September 20, 2024, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Ploessl and Alvina Ploessl (Heying); his siblings, Albert Jr., Arthur Ploessl, Helen Kalmes and Judith Herrig Nemmers; his siblings-in-law, Harold Ambrosy, Ed Herrig, Roger Heinricy, Paul Ries, Richard Ries, Rosalie Ploessl and Mary Ann Knudson; and his sons-in-law, Tim Puls and Ronnie Weis.
He is survived by: his grandchildren, Carrie, Christopher, Jenny, Sarah, Shelby, Emma, Tyler, Danielle, Jamie, Katelyn, Matt, Jessica, Kelli, Alli, Megan, Ryan, Tana, Corbin and Keenan; his stepgrandchildren, Traci and RJ; his wife Wilma Ploessl; his children, Cathy Lang (Ray), Pat Puls, Dave Ploessl (Gail), Dan Ploessl (Karen), Sue Berkley (Steve), Mary Weis and Marty Ploessl (Laural); his siblings, Cyril Ploessl (Marilyn), Larry Ploessl (Linda), Ruth Ambrosy and Mary Lou Heinricy; his siblings-in-law, Milo Ries (Mary Jo), Lawrence Kalmes (Windy), Martha Holden and Jean Noonan; and his sister Sharon. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Hospice of Dubuque or St Raphael Cathedral.
