She is survived by: her husband Larry Metcalf of Catherine's Church; her children, Christopher Metcalf (Kamyra) of Suwanee, GA, Michelle Winders (Jamison) of Iowa City, IA, Travis Metcalf of Dubuque, IA, Brenda Wilson (Nick) of Dubuque, IA and Nicole Thill (Zach) of Peosta, IA; her grandchildren, Olivia, Christopher (CJ), Grant Metcalf, Spencer, Etta Winders, Lyla, Everly, Hadley Wilson, Vincent, Lorelai and Silas Thill; her siblings, Barb Lyons (Joe), Joanne Oberbroeckling (Jim), Larry Blatz (Sheila), Mike Blatz (Karen), Kathy Reiss (Tony), Mark Blatz (Jean), Tom Blatz (Sarah) and Mary Giesemann (John); her in-laws, Angie Blatz-Malott, Jerry Metcalf (Donna), Judi Dolan (Jim), Patti Metcalf-Murray (Kevin) and Kenny Metcalf (Deb); and her godchildren, Matt, Scott, Sara and Kelly.
A wake was held on Sunday, November 17th 2024 at 11:45 AM at the Leonard Funeral Home & Crematory (2595 Rockdale Rd, Dubuque, IA 52003). Visitation was held on Sunday, November 17th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM and on Monday, November 18th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Monday, November 18th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the St. Joseph Church (10204 Key W Dr, Dubuque, IA 52003).
In lieu of flowers, the Susan Metcalf Memorial Fund will be established.
