She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Francis and Catherine Mary Adams (Wilhelm); her husband Richard Fuerst; and her brothers, Eldon Adams (Rose), Merlin Adams (Sally) and Charles (Rose Mary "Tiny").

She is survived by: her children, Richard Fuerst, Ronald Fuerst, Robert, Randall Fuerst and Robin Chaffee (Francis); and her grandchildren, Emily, Courtney Chaffee (Jay Futch) and Anthony Fuerst.

In lieu of flowers, a Shirley Ann Fuerst Memorial Fund has been established.
