He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Eileen, Clarence Olson and Calvin Troester; his stepgrandfather Darrlle Moore; his father-in-law Robert Roath; his cousin Landy Atencio; and his uncles, Gary, Stan and John.
He is survived by: his parents, Steven M. Troester and Diane M. Troester (Olson) of Asbury; his wife Miriah Troester of Dubuque; his son Chris J. Troester of Dubuque; his pets, Kloe and May; his mother-in-law Candy Roath of Dubuque; his grandmother Nancy Moore of Dubuque; his godparents, Kelly Dickson of Marco Island, FL and David Goffinet of Dyersville, IA; and also Dylan Zuccaro. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established.
