She was predeceased by: her parents, Hollis Root and Audrey Root (Neuhaus). She is survived by: her husband Tom Weidenbacher; her children, Dale of Dubuque, Jim (Candice Puccio) of Dubuque, Sabrina Vondal (Jeremy) of Dubuque and Robin Long (Aaron) of Kearney, Nebraska.; her grandchildren, Alex, Logan, Jordyn, Ally, Gage, Layne and Drew; her siblings, Randy Root, Holly Gray and Diane Laufenberg; her pet Celtic; her daughter Laura Lynn; her brothers, Jim, Ron, Dale, Donnie and Bill Root; and her brothers-in-law, Randy Gray, Dave Laufenberg, Wesley "Sonny" Martin Weidenbacher Jr. (Hattie), Keith Weidenbacher, George Husemann and Ron Lamb.
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 20th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Leonard Funeral Home & Crematory (2595 Rockdale Rd, Dubuque, IA 52003). A funeral service was held on Thursday, February 20th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the same location.
