He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph L. Trowbridge and Clara M. Trowbridge (Leute); his grandsons, Dylan Sparks and Roger Trowbridge III; his great grandchild Ava Trowbridge; and his siblings, Harold "H. L." Kenneth, Joseph, Ralph "Bill", Robert, Jerald, Howard, Shirley Trowbridge and Audrey Huseman.
He is survived by: his children, Tammy Hammel (John) of Dubuque, Roger Trowbridge Jr. (Tabitha) of Des Moines, Daniel "Fudd" Trowbridge of Dubuque, Terry Schwartz (Ellis) of Dubuque and Teresa Sparks (Troy) of Dubuque. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren along with many nieces and nephews.
