He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Mauer and Margaret Quick Mauer; and his wife Darlene Ann Pfeiler. He is survived by: his children, Julie L. Horst (Sidney) of Bellevue, Jeffery R. Mauer of Rochelle, IL, Michelle M. Baker (Edward) of Peosta, IA, Kathy A. Dunne (Brian) of Marion, IA, Vicki S. McIntyre of Asbury and Michael A. Mauer (Renae) of Sherrill, IA; his brother Dan Mauer (Mary Paul) of Bellevue; and his brothers-in-law, Kenneth Pfeiler (Darlene) of Asbury, Roger Pfeiler (Donna) of Dubuque and Randy Pfeiler (Diane) of Cedar Rapids, IA. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
