He was predeceased by: his parents, Lee Henkel and Helen Gensler Henkel; his wife Jeanette G. Coleman; and his siblings, Gayle Schmitt, Helen "Lonnie" Henkel, Jeane Felderman, Sandra Zigenfuzz, Marian Kelly and Lee Henkel.
He is survived by: his siblings, Joy White of Dubuque, Richard Henkel (Judy) of Dubuque, Charles "Chuck" Henkel (Patricia) of Harrah, OK, Gary Henkel (Connie) of Dubuque and Jim Henkel (Madonna "Mike") of Kellog, IA. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
