With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Robert W Brittain (Dubuque, Iowa), born in Brevard, North Carolina, who passed away on October 9, 2024 at the age of 93. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Willis Brittain and Velma Brittain (Deyton); his wife Joyce Ann Henneman; his in-laws, Shirley Myers, William Myers, Richard Henneman, Alice Henneman, John Henneman, Patricia Henneman, John Mann and Edward McCormick; and his niece Suzann Sheley.
He is survived by: his children, Carolyn Brodie (Mark) of Indianola and Jean Brittain (Scott Reeder) of Middleton, WI; his grandchildren, John "Jack" Reeder and Ellen Brodie; and his sisters, Ann McCormick of Lillington and Betsy Mann of Blairgowrie, Scotland. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to Bethany Home Retirement Center or Westminster Presbyterian Church, both in Dubuque.
