She was predeceased by: her parents, John Seymour and Anna Seymour (Sullivan); her former husband Terrence Hitchcock; her husband William "Bill" Helmer; and her siblings, Gerald (Deane), Alan (Leora), Cletus Seymour (Helen) and Mary McClellan (John). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, April 4th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:15 AM at the St. Anthony Catholic Church (1870 St Ambrose St, Dubuque, IA 52001). A funeral service was held on Friday, April 4th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established for Hospice of Dubuque.
