Rita Garside Obituary
We are sad to announce that on July 16, 2024, at the age of 89, Rita Garside of Dubuque, Iowa passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Dingbaum and Irene Dingbaum (Koelker); and her siblings, Alver (Eileen), Lester Dingbaum (Virgie), Dorothy Maiers (Merlin), Julie Gerken (Leo), Theresa Gibbs (Bill) and Veryl Voss (Anthony).
She is survived by: her husband John "Jack" S. Garside of Dubuque; her children, Steve Garside (Deanna) of Rockford, IL, Lori Henry of Cedar Rapids, IA, Michael Garside of Dubuque and Chad Garside (Brittan Higley) of Summerville, SC; her grandchildren, Andy Henry (Sydney Hirsch), Libby Henry, Valerie Henry and Morgan Thomas (Shawn); her great grandchildren, Landon, Mason and Kolton Thomas; and her brother-in-law Hugh Garside (Marge). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Resurrection Catholic Church. Keep Rita's legacy alive by donating to a charity in need.
