We are sad to announce that on September 18, 2023, at the age of 80, Richard Harley Steele of Dubuque, Iowa, born in Madison, Wisconsin passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Harley Steele and Frances Steele (Grimm); his former wife Shirley; his sister Georgia Smith; his parents-in-law, Paul, Edna Kuehni and Katie Linder; his siblings-in-law, Caryl Gempler, Norma Hoelscher, Chuck Coker, Harris Gempler and John Smith; his grandchildren, Arin, Jennifer and Benjamin Schlueter; and his niece Debbie Fitch.
He is survived by: his wife Karen Linder; his children, Tim Steele (Tabitha) of Blue Mounds, WI, Tammy Wagner (Monte) of Janesville, WI and Beth Schlueter (Matt) of Kimberly, WI; his grandchildren, Brandi Schumpert (Brian Hunt), Kira Tlusty (LeRoy), Sam Walter, Richard Steele, Christine, Angela, John and Emily Schlueter; his great grandchildren, Aalica Hunt, LeRoy and Claire Tlusty; and his sisters-in-law, Marlyn Linder and Lin Johnson. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Congregational Church or The American Cancer Society.
