He was predeceased by: his parents, William E. Klinefelter and Cecelia Alice Neideticher Klinefelter; his son Kurtus Klinefelter; and his siblings, Sharon Hardie and William Klinefelter.
He is survived by: his wife Gloria J. Purnell; his children, Mark Klinefelter (Gretchen) of Diamond Head, MS, Travis Klinefelter (Kelly "Flipsydudah") of Dubuque, Becky Klinefelter of Dubuque, Christina Klinefelter of Guttenberg, Joshua Klinefelter (Sarah) of Dubuque and Eric Klinefelter of Manchester; and his grandchildren, Jonathan, Payton, Joshua and Ty.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established.
