He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Ehrlich and Thelma Ehrlich (Bahl); his parents-in-law, Edward and Anna Naumann; his siblings, Tom Ehrlich (Roslyn), Ina Hohmann (Robert), Frances Pfeiler (Carl), Mark Ehrlich, Fritz Ehrlich, Ethel Thoma, Daniel Gaul, Ernest Ehrlich and Vince Ehrlich (Diane); and his in-laws, Marie Dupont (Norb), Lorraine Weber (Vern), Rita Kintzle (Earl), Ruth Weber (Lester), Doris Ann Wolf (George "Nicky") and Baby Boy Naumann.

He is survived by: his wife Bernice Ehrlich (Naumann); his children, Laura Schilling (Bob), Brian Ehrlich, Michael Ehrlich (Cindy), Karen Gronau (Todd), Kathy Kunkel (Jeff) and David Ehrlich (Tonya); his grandchildren, Jim (Courtney), Jeffrey (Megan), Courtney (Eric), Jacqueline, Alexis (Cole), Sarah (Ben), Megan, Tim, Seth, Elizabeth, Jonah, Samantha (Tristen) and Nathan (Caitlin); his great grandchildren, Rhett, Ada and Parker; his siblings, Barbara Gaul, Dolores Ambrosy (Cletus), Norbert "John" Ehrlich (Nancy) and Marilyn Borgerding (Richard); and his in-laws, Lois Ehrlich, Linda Ehrlich, Richard Thoma and Harold Nauman (Madonna).

In lieu of flowers and gifts, memorial contributions can be given to Dubuque Arboretum and Botanical Gardens or Hospice of Dubuque.
