He was predeceased by: his parents, Victor Hoerstmann and Cathryn Hoerstmann (Schinstock); and his siblings, Vernon, Marcellus, Eleanor Vize (Joseph) and Virginia Vize (Robert).
He is survived by: his wife Mary Ann Skemp; his children, Michael Hoerstmann (Kaylen) of Sun Prairie, WI, Patrick Hoerstmann of Merrill, WI, Heather Barker (Jim) of Prior Lake, MN and Molly Klefstad (Brent) of Boyceville, WI; and his grandchildren, Nick, Megan Hoerstmann, Ben Hoerstmann, Ainsley, Warwick Barker, Cade and John Klefstad. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Dubuque.
