He was predeceased by: his parents, William "Bill" Lucy and Loretta Lucy (McHale); his siblings, Bill Lucy, Lorettta Lucy and Sandra Vaughn; and his brother-in-law Fred Vaughn.
He is survived by: his wife Linda Lucy (German); his children, Laura Lucy-Ilan (David) of Macon, GA, Eric Lucy (Linda) of Dubuque, Christine Lucy of Wheeling, IL, Keith Lucy (Annette) of Dubuque and Melissa German of Dubuque; his grandchildren, Teva Shapiro (Rachel), Amitai Ilan, Gary Pena, Josh Pena (Bethany), Jack Lucy, Noah Lucy (Meghan) and Kirsten Lucy; his great grandchildren, Liz, Preston, Orion, Leo and Chaya; his great great grandchild Ruby; his sister Irene Kaukaskie (Don); his siblings-in-law, Barb Grunewald (Dale), Denise German and Bruce German; his close friend Karen Juergens; and his nephew Dale Kaukaskie. He is also survived by several cousins, nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, a Nicholas R. Lucy Memorial Fund has been established where memorial contributions will be distributed to Nick's favorite charitable community organizations.
