He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Vandenberg and Geraldine Vandenberg (Cutler); and his nephew Matthew Boland. He is survived by: his siblings, Steven A. (Carla) of Silverton, OR, Ralph E. of Dubuque, Diana L. Conrad (Pete) of Epworth, IA and Jodi L Harry.

In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established in Mike's name.
