It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Maynard L. McVay of Dubuque, Iowa, born in Montfort, Wisconsin, who passed away on February 6, 2023, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Everett McVay and Helen Winkers McVay; his spouse Shirley Sutter; and his siblings, Colleen and Marvin.

He is survived by: his children, Barbara Ann McVay of Dubuque, Laura Esch (Terry) of Moline, IL, John McVay of Dubuque and Jennifer Heinze (Terry Reardon) of Florida City, FL; his grandchildren, Sarah Majzner (John), Alex Esch (Sierra), Natasha Heinze and Cole Heinze; and his siblings, Eugenia Kramer, Berlyn McVay, Royce McVay (Barbara), Gloria Corcoran, Dean McVay and Evelyn Wunderlin (Ken).
