She was predeceased by: her parents, Justin Reilly and Madeline Reilly; her husband Leo Walech; her brother Tom Reilly; her aunts, Jeannette Permantier and Pauline Hesselman; her grandmother Elizabeth Permantier; her parents-in-law, Victor and Helen Walech; and her in-laws, Marie, Bob Hansel, Vicky, Al Fischer and Louis Murphy.
She is survived by: her siblings, Kathleen, Elizabeth and Jon; her children, Kathleen Haas (Matt) of Dubuque, Elizabeth Johnson (Sean) of Asbury and Jon Walech (Margo) of Medina, Minnesota; her grandsons, Victor J. Walech and Nicholas H. Walech; and her sisters-in-law, Judy Reilly, Betty Murphy and Jan Kueter (Bill). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, March 27th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Egelhof, Siegert & Casper Funeral Home and Crematory (2659 John F Kennedy Rd, Dubuque, IA 52002). A prayer was held on Thursday, March 27th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Friday, March 28th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Church of the Resurrection (4300 Asbury Rd, Dubuque, IA 52002).
In lieu of Flowers, memorials may be sent to the Foundation for Dubuque Public Schools (FDPS) in Mary Jeanne's name.
