She was predeceased by: her husband Eldon T. Herrig; her parents, Arthur Sievers and Frances Sievers; her sisters, Dorthy "Dot" and Bernadette; and her daughter-in-law Janet Hutchinson Herrig.
She is survived by: her son Joe Herrig (Marla Tranel) of Dubuque; her grandchildren, Rachel, Lila and Oscar; her children, Tyler, Maeve, Vivian, Jenna (Oliver) and Larry Herrig (Laura) of Dubuque; her grandsons, Jeremy and Joshua; her daughter Mary Beth Greene (Dave) of Duluth, GA; her grandchildren, Brooke (Steve) and Nate (Laurel); her son Pete Herrig (Tina) of Dubuque; her grandchild Lauren; her children, Henry, Vince, Nora and Steve Herrig (Natalee) of Sarasota, FL; her grandchildren, Nick, Onyx, Oliver and Hannah (Zachary); her children, Andie, Maria and Therese Culotta (Stan McNabb) of Lakewood Ranch, FL; her grandchildren, Courtney, Clay and Gracie McNabb; her daughter Kristie Arthofer (Jerry) of Dubuque; her grandchildren, Allison, Blake and Grant; her children, Whitney, Graham, Charlie, James, Evelyn, Via, Eldon, Eleanora, Mitchell (Amanda Treanor), Addy and Nancy Gasell of East Dubuque, IL.; her brother Gerald Sievers (Nancy) of Council Bluffs, IA; her nieces and nephews, Chris and Ellen; and her son Nick Herrig.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, October 30th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Thursday, October 31st 2024 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM. A wake was held on Wednesday, October 30th 2024 at 7:00 PM at the Egelhof, Siegert & Casper Funeral Home and Crematory (2659 John F Kennedy Rd, Dubuque, IA 52002). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Thursday, October 31st 2024 at 11:00 AM at the St. Columkille Catholic Church.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Hospice of Dubuque, Rescue Mission, Bethany Homes, or St. Columbkille's Church in Marjorie's honor, reflecting her love for community and service.
