She was predeceased by: her parents, Alvin Pfannenstiel and Catherine Pfannenstiel (Banks). She is survived by: her husband Kenneth Furst of Dubuque; her children, Amanda Furst (Scott Johnson) of Minneapolis, MN, Sarah Hill (Bjorn) of Dubuque and Zachary Furst (Hanna Zembrzuska) of Iowa City, IA; her grandchildren, Jensen, Anders Hill, Duncan Johnson and William Furst; and her siblings, Marguerite Hughes (Chris) of Red Oak, IA, Teresa Bryant (Steve) of Lee's Summit, MO, Steven Pfannenstiel (Amy) of Shawnee, KS and Ellen Gates (Wes) of Leewood, KS. She is also survived by her many nieces and nephews.
To celebrate Marian, the family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorials be sent to the Dubuque Symphony Orchestra Education & Outreach Fund or Hospice of Dubuque.
