She was predeceased by: her mother Mary Brittingham (Delbert); her husbands, Paul Gaherty and David Ehlers; her son David Ehlers; her son-in-law Bruce Dean; her siblings, Ginny Knable (Merle) and Cletus Mootz; and her brother-in-law Tim Mauer.
She is survived by: her children, Bob Ehlers (Irene) of Dubuque, IA, Ron Ehlers, Mary Doty (Dale) of East Dubuque, IL and Jody Dean of Dubuque, IA; her grandchildren, Kelly Vorous (Gary) of San Diego, CA, Brian Ehlers (Amy) of Dubuque, IA, Ryan Doty (Kelly) of Galena, IL, Derek Doty (Franchesca) of Galena, IL, Nicole Klein (Kody) of Dubuque, IA, Matt Olds (Brianna) of Dubuque, IA and Perry Olds of Louisiana; her sister Joanne Mauer of Dubuque, IA; and her sister-in-law Margie Mootz of Dubuque, IA. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, sisters-in-law and brothers-in law.
