She was predeceased by: her parents, Nicholas Pitts and Cecelia Pitts (Schilling); her husband Elmer Schiffer; her son Jim; and her siblings, Joseph "Lyle" Pitts, William Pitts, Jim Pitts (Mary Margaret), Marge Schlegel (George) and Mary Makovec (Frank).
She is survived by: her children, Gary Schiffer (Lisa) of LaMotte, Don Schiffer (Jeanie) of Dubuque and Sherrie Witter (Gary) of Marion, Iowa; her daughter-in-law Angel Schiffer of Maquoketa; her grandchildren, Michelle, Ryan, Chad, Brian, Nick, Wyatt, Levi, Kyle, Jenny, Sarah, Shelby, Thomas, Andrew, Amy and Tammy; and her sisters-in-law, Marie Weiland and Leona Schiffer. She is also survived by many great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild.
