He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis Manders and Bendina Manders (Rubel); his daughter Nicole Peters; his stepdaughter Lisa Brown-VanArsdale; his grandson Louis Manders; and his sister Lois Sweeney.

He is survived by: his wife Pat; his son Rick Manders (Sherry) of Granbury, TX; his stepdaughters, Tammy Leftridge (Patrick) of Valles Mines, MO and Lynn Elrghachi (Idder) of Tamarac, FL; and his sisters, Patty Ames (Fritz), Mary Jacobsmeyer (David) and Charlotte Pfeiffer (Tom). He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, four step-grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, six step great-grandchildren.
