He was predeceased by: his parents, Lloyd F. Schromen and Rosella Schromen (Moore); his sons, Lloyd Jr., Robert "Robbie" and Ryan Schromen; and his sisters, Mildred Stierman, Beverly O'Mara and Rose Schromen.
He is survived by: his children, April Berendes (John) of St. Donatus, Kelly Merfeld (Jon) of Cuba City and Danny Schromen of Dubuque; and his grandchildren, Autumn, Jeremy (Heidi), Morgan (Lucas), Will, Aubree and Robert. He is also survived by five great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, December 26th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Leonard Funeral Home & Crematory (2595 Rockdale Rd, Dubuque, IA 52003). A funeral service was held on Thursday, December 26th 2024 at 6:00 PM at the same location.
