She was predeceased by: her parents, John L. Carr and Helen Carr (Tucker); her siblings, Roger, Karen, Perry and Richard Carr; her siblings-in-law, Sandy Carr Rollinger and Duane Nilles; and her stepsons, Elmer Jr. and Ron.
She is survived by: her husband Elmer Farkas; her siblings, Gwen Nilles and Kevin Carr (Joyce); her nieces and nephews, Bret Nilles (Suzanne), Dawn Dominguez (Roberto), DeAnn Nilles, Danette Nilles-Putchio (Randy), Brian Nilles, Brad Nilles, Craig Carr, Shawn Carr (Linda), Courtney LeVasseur (Derek), Michael Carr and Patrick Carr (Charlotte); and her stepchildren, Chuck (Lezlie), Sharon (Bing), Darlene, Judy and Larry.
In lieu of flowers, memorials have been established for Hospice of Dubuque and Stonehill Care Center.
