She was predeceased by: her parents, Theodore Heyne and Virginia Heyne (Neuhaus); her daughters, Jamie Lee and Nicole Lee Kruse; and her brother Ted.

She is survived by: her children, Christopher Kruse of Dubuque and Kelly Oglesby (Brian Houston) of Adel; and her grandchildren, Dakota, Nicole and Kylee. She is also survived by five great grandchildren.
