He was predeceased by: his parents, Victor Walech and Helen Walech (Berwick); his sister Vickie Fischer; and his brothers-in-law, Albert Fischer, Bob Hansel, Louis Murphy and Tom Reilly.
He is survived by: his siblings, Kathleen, Elizabeth and Jon; his wife Mary Jeanne Walech of Dubuque; his children, Kathleen Haas (Matt) of Dubuque, Elizabeth Johnson (Sean) of Asbury and Jon Walech (Margo) of Medina, MN; his grandsons, Victor J. Walech and Nicholas H. Walech; his siblings, Marie Hansel of Centralia, Betty Murphy of Dubuque and Jan Kueter (Bill) of Durango; and his caregivers, Tyler and Keri. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
