She was predeceased by: her parents, LaVerne Garms and Ivanelle Garms (Lenth); and her parents-in-law, Raymond and Francis Steffen. She is survived by: her husband Phil Steffen of Dubuque; her siblings, Wayne Garms (Lois) of Monona, IA, Judy Carlson (Rex) of Woodbury, MN, Keith Garms (Kathy) of Elkader, IA and Kristy Rigdon (Joey) of Fairbank, IA; and her siblings-in-law, Howard Steffen (Darlene) of Luxemburg, IA, Chris Korte (Chuck), Linda Steffen of Chicago, IL and Sheila Rock (Steve) of St. Louis, MO. She is also survived by 15 nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to the Dubuque County Humane Society or the University of Iowa Children's Hospital.
