He is survived by: his wife Edna Heiar (Beringer); his children, Keith Heiar (Gretchen) of Dunlap, Wes Heiar (Stacey) of East Dubuque, Rhonda Hutcheson (Mike) of Margate, FL and Mike Heiar (Molly) of Dubuque; and his siblings, Bill Heiar (Jane) of Peosta, Marv Heiar (Jeanne) of St. Catherine's, Jan Averkamp (Roger) of Dubuque, Garry Heiar (Jeanne) of Dubuque, Tom Heiar (Sandy) of Beaver Dam, WI and Mary Jo Gothard of Dubuque. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren.
