He was predeceased by: his parents, Dr. Julian Nemmers, Sr. and Ann Reger Nemmers; his wife Ruth Ann; his siblings, Betty Kasel, Virginia Loes, Charlotte Shanahan and Father Mark Nemmers; his former wife Genevieve Nemmers; his daughter Mary Ann; and his nephew Tony Loes.

He is survived by: his brother Dr. David Nemmers of Winfield, Kansas.

Memorials may be given to Hospice of Dubuque, Breakthrough T1D (formerly Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation), or a veterans organization of your choice.
