She was predeceased by: her parents, Dorothy Shanahan (Michel) and Vincent Shanahan; and her brothers-in-law, Peter Oberfoell, Larry Jarecke and Bob Koerner.
She is survived by: her children, Lori Engel (Jeff) of Cedar Falls, Scott Weydert (Claudia) of Aurora, CO and Amy Weydert (Anthony Boni) of Colorado Springs, CO.; her grandchildren, Jordan Engel (Melissa), Abby Neill (Eric), Taylor Engel (Emily), Jessica Bretzlauf (Chris), Nicholas Croci, Kylie Weydert, Reagan Weydert, Bryanna Garcia, Nathaniel Garcia and Ryan Weydert; her great grandchildren, Bridget, Ruby, Eloise and Callum; her sisters, Joan Oberfoell of Dubuque, Jane Jarecke of Columbus, NE, Janet Koerner and Jeannine Nakashima of San Antonio, TX; and her close friend Jim Steffen.
