He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph F. Bahl and Viola Bahl (Savary); his daughter Michelle; his in-laws, Dorothy and Melvin Kelleher; his siblings, Betty Allen, Janey Dupont, Susan Wilson and Charles Bahl; his siblings-in-law, Del O'Hea, Bob Betts, Don Dupont, Jim Kelleher, Red Kelleher, Bob Kelleher, Shirley Bahl and Helen Kelleher; his nieces and nephews, Doug Bahl, John Allen, Gary Betts, Jill Dupont and Jean Koren; and his great-nephew TJ Kelleher.
He is survived by: his wife Sue; his son Craig (Jennifer Miller); his grandchildren, Calvin Bahl, Phillip Bahl (Morgan Hearden), Kristen Erickson (David) and Jesse Bahl; his siblings, Nita Betts, Mary O'Hea and Tom Bahl; his sisters-in-law, Mary Ann Kelleher and Lorraine Kelleher; and his daughters-in-law, Tanya Willis and Lori Bahl.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for memorials to be made to Hospice of Dubuque or the Avery Foundation of Dubuque.
