He was predeceased by: his father Robert "Joe" Marshall; and his nephews, Tyler Freiburger and Paxton Hummel. He is survived by: his mother Barbara Marshall (Manders) of Bellevue; his wife Mia J. Herrig of Asbury; his daughters, Alana Cayro (Austin) of Dubuque, Katlyn Marshall-Ernst (Bennet Brosseau) of Minneapolis, MN and Ava Marshall of Dubuque; his siblings, Lisa Meyer (Dale) of Bernard, IA, Lori Clark (Doug) of Bellevue, Paul Dent (Deb) of Bellevue, Cathy Freiburger (Steve) of Bernard, IA, Jim Marshall of Dubuque and Carrie Kilburg (Eric) of Bellevue; his father-in-law John Herrig (Sally) of Dubuque; and his siblings-in-law, Jauna Kerf (Chris) of Dubuque and Dutch Herrig (Bethany) of Fincastle, VA. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Hoffmann Schneider & Kitchen Funeral Home & Crematory (3860 Asbury Rd, Dubuque, IA 52002). A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Church of the Resurrection (4300 Asbury Rd, Dubuque, IA 52002).
