He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Vesely and Colleen Vesely. He is survived by: his wife Gerri Boge of Dubuque; his sons, Ben (Celena) of Ankeny, Craig (Kim) of Cumberland and Dr. Beau (Katie) of Bedford; his grandchildren, Samuel, Elijah, Sarah, Michael, Eleanor, Clara, Aria and Teddy; his siblings, Ellen Folkman, Tom Vesely (Sandy) and Mary Hopp (Larry); and his brothers-in-law, Larry Folkman, Lee Haywood, Thomas Hantelmann, David Husted, Dan Boge and Loras Boge.
In lieu of flowers, the family will establish a memorial fund that will be used toward charities that John has supported.
