It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Kurtis Christiansen of Dubuque, Iowa, born in Lohrville, Iowa, who passed away on November 15, 2022, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Lyle Eugene and Christine Knudsen Christiansen; his sister Barbara Dooley (Don); and his granddaughter Norah Christine Jones. He is survived by: his wife Donna Christiansen of Dubuque; his children, Christine Shimkus (Michael) of Dubuque, Susan Jones (Quenten) of Jay, VT and Jonathan Christiansen of Pleasant Hill, IA; his grandchildren, Anwyn Jones, Eleana Shimkus and Winston Shimkus; his sister-in-law Sandra Jaques; and his nieces and nephews, Dell Dooley (Joan), Debra Christiansen, Doug Dooley (Ginny D'Angelo), Gayle Jaques and Katherine Klump (Philip).
