She was predeceased by: her parents, Dorothy Tigges (Merfeld) and Martin Tigges; her parents-in-law, Virginia and Melvin Leibold; her brother Duane Tigges; and her siblings-in-law, Jim Even, Tim Leibold, Kathy Leibold, Bill Beidler and David Durgin.
She is survived by: her husband Terry Leibold of Dubuque, IA; her sons, Brian Leibold (Tiffany) of North Liberty, IA, Keith Leibold (Samantha) of Aurora, IL and Jeff Leibold (Tracy) of Dubuque, IA; her grandchildren, Brady, Madelynn Leibold, Allyson, Carter, Stephanie Leibold, Gavin and Olivia Leibold; her siblings, Randy Tigges (Ann), Patty Even and Steve Tigges (Teri); and her in-laws, Tom Leibold (Zelda), Krista Beidler, Karla Durgin and Laurie Leibold. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established with donations being directed to Joan's favorite charities.
