Janann M. Higgins Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Janann M. Higgins in Dubuque, Iowa, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 20, 2025 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Alfred Dietz and Helen Dietz (Nellie); her daughter Darla Higgins; and her sisters, Helen Gorshe, Marlene Schrobilgen, Shirley Massey, Ady Klein-Taggart and Moya Breitbach.
She is survived by: her husband Chuck Higgins; her daughters, Deb Mueller (Jim) and Diann Hanson (Bob); her grandchildren, Abby Klein (Scott), Holly Burkhartzmeyer (Patrick), Ryan Hanson (Cynthia) and Hillary Loes (Stefen); her great grandchildren, Addison, Ava, Aubrey, Maxwell, Zachary, Connor, Baby B, Nellie and Grant; and her sister Karen Schaufler. She is also survived by relatives, nieces, nephews, godchildren, and cherished friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 24th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the Resurrection Catholic Church (4300 Asbury Rd, Dubuque, IA 52002). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 24th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in honor of Nan at the Dubuque Arboretum and Botanical Gardens.
