With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Janaan M. Hancock of Dubuque, Iowa, who passed away on February 11, 2023. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry Haggerty and Mayme Haggerty (Oppelt); her husband Blaine Hancock; her siblings, John Haggerty (Jean), Mary Jane Toner-Dohrer (Bob) and James Haggerty; and her siblings-in-law, Bill Hancock (Janann), Calvin Hancock (Margaret), Jim Hancock, Sr., Janice Hancock and Bob Runde.
She is survived by: her sons, Joe (Dawn), Ken (Shelley), Mark (Pauline), Mike (Laurie), Nick (Jane), Jerry (Val) of Sarasota, FL, Tony (Lynn), Andy (Cathy) and Kevin (Sandy); her sister Harriet Runde; and her siblings-in-law, Jack Hancock (Gayle), Lois Hancock and Penny Haggerty. She is also survived by 21 grandchildren, 42 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, a Janaan Hancock Memorial Fund has been established.
