He is survived by: his sons, Adam Tigges (Michele) and Luke Tigges (Brooke); his wife Julie; his sisters, Betty McGovern and Linda Medley; his siblings-in-law, Dave Loney (Lori), Dan Loney (Cindy), Rod Loney (Cathy), John Loney (Nair), Chris Schmidt (Cai) and Mary Loney-Bichell (Ken); his great grandchildren, Gabriella, Abigail, Allison, Olivia, Ruth, Josie, Derik, Emma, Trever, Lilyan, Eva, Drake and Kyllian; and his friend Bill White. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, a Jim Tigges memorial fund has been established.
