He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Griffith and Ann Kennedy (Westlund); and his siblings, John Kennedy, Donald Kennedy and Maureen Davis.
He is survived by: his wife Fran; his children, Vicki Kennedy of Temple, TX, Murray Kennedy (Kim) of Westminster, CO and David Kennedy of Boulder, CO; his grandchildren, Robert Langan, Allison Kennedy, Michael Langan, James Kennedy, Brian Kennedy, Alex Kennedy, Sarah Kennedy, Jesse Strang and Sophie Kennedy; and his great grandchildren, Sabina Frances Langan, Frances Ruth Langan and Corbin James Langan.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established for International Fibrodysplasia Ossificans Progressiva Association (IFOPA 501c3).
