It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James N. Bentz of Dubuque, Iowa, born in Remsen, Iowa, who passed away on October 17, 2023, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, John Bentz and Christine Bentz (Hatz); his wife Margaret Mary Kuhn; and his siblings, Thomas, Jerry and Mary Margaret.

He is survived by: his sons, Martin "Marty" Bentz (Barb Woolf) of Dubuque, John Bentz (Kelly Kreiman) of Humboldt and Robert "Rob" Bentz (Jo Lynn Exey) of Dubuque; his grandchildren, Christine, David, Stephanie, Megan, Matthew, Kara, Jenifer, Nathan, Bryan and Allison; and his siblings-in-law, Therese Schmitt, Colette Kuhn, Anna Mae Kuhn and Jerome Kuhn (Carlene). He is also survived by 15 great grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to the James Bentz Memorial Fund.
