Wathen of Dubuque, Iowa, born in Oelwein, Iowa, who passed away on November 2, 2024, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Clyde L. Wathen and Edith B. Wathen (Hansel); his wife Nettie Wathen; his daughter Mary Wathen; and his siblings, Janet "Janie" Teucke, James Wathen (Lois) and Clayton Wathen (Ruth).
He is survived by: his children, Jackie K. Powers of Dubuque, IA, Jerry L. Wathen of Dubuque, IA and Jan M. Wathen (Teresa Yates) of Kosciusco, MS; his grandchildren, Jamie M. Wathen, Stacia S. Wathen and Tracy J. Powers; his great grandchildren, Hannah Wathen, Emily Almanzo, Emma Powers, William Powers and Brady Powers; and his brother-in-law Louis Teucke.
Visitation was held on Thursday, November 7th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Behr Funeral Home (1491 Main St, Dubuque, IA 52001).
