She was predeceased by: her parents, Neil Carew and Mary Carew (Maloy); her husband Don T. Patrick; her sons, Timothy Emmett and Pat; and her siblings, Joseph Carew, Margaret Mary Simon and Alan Carew.

She is survived by: her children, Mary Kay Mickelson of Des Moines, Ellen Steele Allare (Greg Allare) of Phoenix, Michael D. Steele (Susan) of Dubuque and Brigid Ann Steele (Michael Matone) of Lakewood Ranch, Florida; her grandson John Mickelson (Brooke); her great grandchildren, Jack, Tucker, Hansen and Hunter; her grandchildren, Ashley, Danny Steele, Katie Allare (Joe Verburgt) and Gregory Allare (Rachel); and her great grandchild Violet. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Memorial donations may be given to St. Columbkille's Catholic Church.
