As Geneva departs from our midst, her spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Geneva. Though Geneva may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
She was predeceased by: her parents, William Craugh and Gertrude Craugh (Schiffman); her husband Walter Block; her daughter Jane Urban; her siblings, Carl Craugh and Velma Dechow; and her son-in-law Ray Crippes.
She is survived by: her daughter Connie Crippes (family: Laura Hudson Jill Crippes, Kimberly, Schmelz) of Kieler, WI; and her sister Camilla McDonald of Darlington, WI. She is also survived by her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 16th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Sacred Heart Church (2215 Windsor Ave, Dubuque, IA 52001). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Wednesday, April 16th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
In Lieu of flowers, a Geneva Block Memorial Fund has been established.
