He is survived by: his wife Mary Kerstein; his daughter Janet Horsfall (Doug) of Dubuque; his granddaughters, Anna Horsfall and Abby Horsfall; his siblings, Richard Thoma of Dubuque and Patricia Klass of Dubuque; and his sister-in-law Bertha Thoma of St. Donatus. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
