He was predeceased by: his parents, James Morton and Florence Morton (Mai); and his sister Joann Hittenmiller. He is survived by: his wife Mona Morton (Reittinger); his children, Sandy Morton (Norm Duve) of Mesa, AZ, Diana "Bee" Morton of St. Paul, MN, Terry Ann Morton of Dubuque, IA and Kate Knepper (Josh) of Peosta, IA; his grandchildren, Trena Miller and Grey Knepper; and his great grandchild Mateo Miller.

In lieu of flowers, a Eugene Morton Memorial Fund has been established.
