With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Erna Schmidt (Dubuque, Iowa), who passed away on April 27, 2023 at the age of 94. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Gregory Schuster and Lucille Schuster (Kies); her brothers, Tom, Alfred and Leonard Schuster; and her son-in-law Steve Rogers.
She is survived by: her husband Donald J. Schmidt; her children, Deacon Jim Schmidt (Mary), Nancy Schmidt (John) of Dubuque, Bob Schmidt (Linda) of Florida and Bill Schmidt (Gail) of Cascade; her grandchildren, Jeremy Schmidt (Becky), Gina Schmidt David, Janelle Menz (Jeff), Joel Schmidt, Nicole Cox (Ed), Lisa Aschtgen (Aaron), Greg Schmidt (Alyssa) and Kari Hensley (Kevin); and her sisters-in-law, Betty and Margie Schuster. She is also survived by 15 great grandchildren.
