She is survived by: her husband Michael Hanson; her son Chris Merz (Haley) of Dubuque, IA; her grandchildren, Wyatt, Ruth, Levi Brenner and Jadeyn; and her siblings, Doris Capaul (Don) of Epworth, IA, Pat Root of Dubuque, IA, John Merz (Sandy) of Buffalo, MN and Greg Merz of Anamosa, IA. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
